Linux Dream Studio

Recently, I tried “Dream Studio” of Linux on the DVD.
The Ubuntu 11.04 based OS came on the screen with the beautiful sound, I felt that the operation itself was very stylish.
Though I knew that the original Ubunt11.04 does not work well on my legacy machine few months ago.
But my heartstrings were beaten by the distribution !

先日私は DVD上で Dream Studio という OS を試してみました。
ubuntu 11.04 base のそれは、美しい起動音と共に立ち上がり、操作すること自体がとてもお洒落に感じられました。
私のレガシーなマシンでは、ubuntu 11.04 が軽快に動作しないことを理解しています。
インストールさえ正常に終わりませんでしたから。
でもこのディストリビューションは、私の琴線に響いたのです。

Wary Puppy 5.1.2

Wary Puppy 5 Desktop
I use the Ubuntu 11.04 and Lucid Puppy 5.2.5, arrived to follow Wary Puppy 5.1.2.
Primarily for use in Blender 2.58 on my legacy machine, this option now.
Because the OS default is used to Alt + RightClick is frequently used hot keys, I had to customize it on the Blender.
I am a newbie Linux.

私は Ubuntu 11.04 と Lucid Puppy 5.2.5 を試用して、Wary Puppy 5.1.2 に辿り着きました。
私のレガシーマシンで Blender 2.58 を主に使うため、この選択肢になりました。
頻繁に使われる Alt+RightClick ホットキーがOSのデフォルトに使用されているため、私は Blender 側でこれをカスタマイズする必要がありました。
私は Linux 初心者です。

Hello UBUNTU 11.04 !

Yes, NVIDIA was covered few days ago that is why I could make it.
WinFast 170 DDRT came back from my chest and I am so happy to see UBUNTU !
I changed back to Classic Style with no effects after using Unity-2D anyway.
Installed GIMP, Inkscape, Blender2.49b, Blender2.57b, Bluefish.
So how can I change Blender’s Icon ?

数日前 UBUNTU の新バージョンに NVIDIA の多くがサポートされたおかげで、我が家のポンコツＰＣが復活しました。
ビデオカードが古いので新しいデスクトップの「Unity」は使えず、試しに「Unity-2D」を導入して雰囲気を味わってみましたが、結局クラッシックスタイルのエフェクト無しに。
とりあえずインストールしたのは、GIMP、Inkscape、Blender2.49b、Blender2.57b、Bluefish ですが、想っていたより重いです。
ところでアイコンの変更はどうやるの？

The release has coming closer and I am looking forward to see the normal Desktop screen of the Ubuntu 11.04.

Ubuntu 11.04 のリリースが近づいてきました、とてもとても楽しみにしています。
どうか、レガシーなグラフィックカードを認識してくれますように！
　
絶対に間違いなく入れて！
そう言う台詞の代わりに、「ダンクシュート！」って、
先日観た映画の中で使われていて、とても印象に残ったので使ってみましたが、通じるのだろか？
バスケが盛んなお国柄ですね。

Ubuntu disliked my legacy

Pleas ride on !

Maybe that coursed by CD/DVD drive writing or reading fail I guess.
But even from USB installation was not accepted.
How many times I was said “Sorry !” by Ubuntu10.10 ?
OK, you will see the Low Level Formatted HDD next time !

P.S.
The HDD had too much damaged so far, I made it back to usable several times by the Low Level Format.
But it does not work anymore.
Not by Ubuntu fail I believe, sorry !

Ubuntu のインストールが何度やってもエラーになるのは、ハードがことごとく古いからと知りつつ、あらゆる方法を試みています。
USB経由でインストールとか。
次回はハードディスクを物理フォーマットしてから。

My Socket478 machine will be installed Ubuntu and is mainly going to be used for Blender that is the endless study joyful 3DCG software.
Not English one yet, surely regret if I did it.

Just feeling like the time OSX10.3 released then I bought iBook.
I miss Win2K a bit now, so long !

我が家の動かなくなってしまった古い古いマシンを何とか修復し、フリーの3DCGソフトを動かしたいと、Linuxベースのオープンソース、UBUNTU という OS のインストールを試みていますが、マシンがひ弱すぎるのと、ハードディスクが傷だらけなのとで、なかなか想うように事が運んでくれません。
「UBUNTU」とは、アフリカの単語で「他者への思いやり」や「皆があっての私」といった意味を持ちます。
2年ほど前から注目していましたが、「今回はこれ！」と感じさせられました。
ちょうどマックの OSX がリリースされた時のように。
Win2K には少し後ろ髪を引かれますが、長いことありがとね。
